Hello, and Welcome to Donzilla.com.

I finally obtained the Donzilla.com domain in 2004, after having “Donzillanation.com” (now-defunct) as my “Official Home on the Internet” before that.

The site has served a number of purposes over the years, including being a marketplace, a link register, and a sharing point for original (not-pirated!) music and poetry. However, it has finally reached the beginning stages of what I have always wanted it to be: an amalgamation of all the content and areas of interest that I, Donzilla, have… It is ready to become my “home page” once again.

I hope too that it will become a forum for you to research things that interest you, a place for you to comment on things, and a place that foments discussion and is productive of greater art, greater ideas, and greater love. This is a private website however, and we reserve the right to publish or not publish any comments or submissions that we receive, and we reserve the right to delete comments and ban commenters and trolls as we, and solely we, see fit. In fact, all rights are reserved. We will not tolerate the violations of copyright on our site, or violations of the copyrights we hold. All content unless otherwise noted, and all pictures, videos, music, etc that we upload is original and may not be distributed, sold, reproduced — in any form electronic or otherwise — without our explicit, written permission. Obviously the Laws of Fair Use apply, and we generally don’t mind short excerpts with productive commentary on your site that links back to us. However, we won’t tolerate name calling, slander, or libel.

If you run a website that automatically “scrapes” our content and posts it on your site, we absolutely will not tolerate that. It is forbidden to list this site on any public site that indexes sites with any level of automation whatever, with the exception of the major search engines, without our express permission.

Donzilla.com is intended to server as a “one-stop shop for all things Donzilla” and will eventually contain content that has previously been published on other websites. Although we long for a completely non-commercial life, and deplore the commercial environment and use of the majority of the Internet, the fact remains that domains and hosting require FRN’s to mantain, and there are other goods uses which we can put them to (and do). So we will be continuing advertising and affiliate links of one kind or another on this site for the forseeable future. As we put together our Trust and ramp up our Non-Profit activities, this income will be steered more and more into those. Please treat this as Notice of advertising and affiliate links on this site. We will try to be consistent with a full disclosure of these links and images when we do use them. We don’t believe in getting paid to say good things about products, but we will definitely post topical affiliate links when we are making reviews of products.

There are other Donzilla’s out there, as well as one software package, and I don’t claim to have the exclusive right to use the name. However, it has been my nickname and pseudonym for nearly 20 years, and I’m pretty happy with it. (As a side note, I don’t actually have much use for Donzilla.net right now though, so I’d be happy to let it go — to another Donzilla who would really want to use it — for the right price. Basically it would need to equal a few years worth of the advertising value to me.)
